Here are a few suggestions for filling a punch bowl when you are entertaining a crowd:
Party Punch1 part vodka
1 part Sauterne
1 part club soda
1 part white grape juice (uncarbonated is good in this punch)
CARDINAL PUNCH (an excellent non-alcoholic punch) 1 quart cranberry juice
1 pint orange juice
2 lemons squeezed -or- 2 ozs. lemon juice
4 quarts ginger ale
Combine juices with ice and chill. Pour into a punch bowl over a block of ice. Add ginger ale.
Garnish with a sprig of mint.
Serves 44 in punch cups.
We have served the party punch often, especially for gatherings over holidays in Andover.
