1 cup butter, softened
¾ cup firmly packed light brown sugar
1 egg
1 ¾ cups all-purpose flour
½ teaspoon baking soda
½ teaspoon salt
1 8-oz. pkg. chopped dates (1½ cups)
1 cup chopped green candied pineapple
1 cup chopped re candied cherries
1 ½ cups chopped pecans
Preheat
oven to 350° F.
In large bowl, beat butter and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
Add egg; blend well.
Lightly
spoon flour into measuring cup; level off.
Add flour, baking soda and salt; mix well.
Stir in dates, candied fruit and pecans.
Drop by teaspoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheets.
Bake at 350° F. for 10 to 12 minutes. Cool
1 minute; remove from cookie sheets. Cool
completely.
YIELD: 7 dozen cookies.
