Tom and Jerry Batter for Holiday Drinks
To make batter:
2 cups granulated sugar (if available, bar sugar dissolves most
easily)
1 dozen eggs
1 can Eagle Brand Condensed Milk (this is sweetened not regular
evaporated milk)
1 pound confectioners'
sugar
Separate eggs.
Beat whites on high speed until very stiff. Add granulated sugar and 1/2 pound
confectioners' sugar, a little at a time, beating until silky smooth.
Beat yolks until thick, add condensed milk and 1/2 pound confectioners' sugar, a
little at a time, until silky smooth.
Fold white mixture and yolk mixture together.
To Make Tom and Jerry Drinks:
In mug, place a healthy dollop of Tom and Jerry Batter, a jigger of whisky,
bourbon or brandy, and add boiling water to fill. Stir and sprinkle nutmeg over
the top.
